FRINGE REPORT FIRST MONDAY PHOTOGRAPHS

FRINGE REPORT'S FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH. Please come and join us for a drink. It's a great night to meet and make friends and business contacts for people worldwide in the arts. Since it started in August 2007, plays have been cast from it, actors, directors and producers have met and teamed up - and all those names you know by email suddenly become faces. There is no admission charge - people buy their own drinks at the bar at normal prices - no booking, no dress code, no guestlist - just arrive, anyone is welcome. It's informal, it's friendly, it's the analogue version of FaceBook. From 6:30pm till closing time - First Monday of every month.

DIARY DATES? 6 July 09, 3 August 09 (Holiday: Scotland, Republic of Ireland), 7 September 09 (Back From Edinburgh Drinks), 5 October 09, 2 November 09, 7 December 09 (Christmas Drinks), 4 January 10 (Back From New Year Drinks), 1 February 10, and so on. Fringe Report's First Monday is a regular event on the first Monday of each month regardless of public holidays and takes place in London. Venues vary and are confirmed on this page in advance every month, please bookmark it.

VENUE - COACH AND HORSES, LONDON Come to the private First Floor Bar at the Coach And Horses. It's a lovely friendly traditional pub in Soho at the junction of Poland Street and Great Marlborough Street. The pub's bar prices (last checked mid 2008) are eg approx - wine £3.25 / 4.50 a glass, Fosters / Carling £2.95. It's a Greene King pub, and it does hot food till 20:00, bar snacks after that. Percy Bysshe Shelley lived in the house across the road (but has since moved). Full address, map, directions - see bottom of page.

YOU CAN PROMOTE. There are two 10-minute promotion spots during the evening, in which anyone can pitch a show or event taking place anywhere in the world. Tell us when you arrive and we'll put you on the list. When you pitch, keep it to one minute so we can squeeze 10 people into each slot, and give brief details - your name, what you are (eg actor, director, pr), name of your show, venue, days and dates, times, how much. Eg 'My name is X, I'm an actor in a musical called Shakespeare's Last Stand. It's at The Globe. Dates are 15-17th of this month. It's on at 7.30pm Tuesday to Friday. Tickets are £8 to £15'. Have some fliers to give out to people when you're having a drink later - they'll know who you are after your pitch. If you're a venue PR, best to pitch one show and do the details of the whole programme by giving people fliers or printed sheets.
